Who Will Survive? That’s the question fans of the hit young adult fantasy series The Mortal Instruments are asking about the highly anticipated sixth book, City of Heavenly Fire.   Set to be released in May 2014, City of Heavenly Fire is the last installment of The Mortal Instrument series, whose first book, City Of Bones, was recently made into a film in August 2013. Anyone who’s a fan of the movie or has/plans to read any of the other books will definitely want to check out Heavenly Fire. The novel is set to conclude the story of main characters/heros Clary, Jace, Simon and others has they fight their greatest villain yet; who also happens to be Clary’s very own brother. If you love books dealing with Vampires, Angels, Warlocks, Demons, Werewolves, Fairies, and so much more, then City Of Heavenly Fire is definitely the book for you!

Imagine: In the blink of eye, every adult in your life suddenly disappears without a trace. No note, no goodbye, they’re just…gone. And to top it off, just as suddenly there’s no internet, no phones, and no television, so there’s no way for you to get help or figure out what happened. Well, that’s the plot for author Michael Grant’s novel, Gone. In the novel, everyone in the town of Perdido Beach over the age of 15 vanishes into thin air, which causes a great deal of confusion and disorder among the people left. “Chaotic” is best to describe what happens next; Bullies start to declare themselves leader, hunger/starvation threatens everyone, a deadly creature is on the loose and animals mutation, and not to mention the teens start to discover they are developing deadly powers. Gone is the first of a series of six novels that tell the interesting story of a terrifying new world full of mystery and action. Anyone who likes to read books about dystopian societies will definitely love Gone. Head to the Media Center or your local library to check it out today!
