Christmas the most wonderful time of the year or so they say. They say the holidays are the “Most wonderful time of the year.” Well I must have missed that memo in the year of 2011. We had the most beautiful Thanksgiving any one could ever want. Then, Christmas rolls around and it was not to cold and not to hot and wonderful. My whole family was there and we were all nice to each other and did not make fun of each other we were like the “perfect” family.
I had stayed the night with my grandmother, Dorothy on Christmas Eve. I woke up to the smell of sausage, bacon, country ham, and biscuits. We do Christmas breakfast so I got up rally early to help her start cooking. We were up really early when my mom, brother, soon to be sister in law and nephew arrived. We made al the presents under the tree pop and made it beautiful! I love Christmas time. I love the smells of the cinnamon apples, the pumpkin, and the cold crisp mornings. They make my heart flutter. When everyone arrived to Grandma’s house we prayed and ate the most delicious breakfast of a lifetime. We were like kids in a candy store opening presents and loving everything we received. We thanked everyone for their gifts and started to clean wash the dishes. When we finally finished the dises my mom and I left and went to our house and had another Christmas dinner with Terry and his family. Terry was mu mom’s boyfriend at the time.
