The drinking age should be lowered to the age of 18. I feel that for many reasons including that people are adults at that age and should be able to make their own decisions.When you are 18, you receive many important rights such as the right to vote, the right to get married, the right to buy smokes, to get a credit card.It's when your adulthood begins. I think that those rights that I have just stated requires a huge risponsibility, even more responsibility than that you have when you need to control your drinking. Think thatyou are not allowed to dring at your wedding. How does it sound?What I mean is if you can do all these at the age of 18, why cant make your own decisions about alcohol consumption?
          I know that lowering drinking age to the age of 18 will probably led more traffic accidents, more crimes and more early teen fertility. However there is one truth is that people can not just sit there and tell those who're between 18-21 that they are not mature enough to drink; and at the same time let them in to the military, give their life for their country. This is very paradoxal. Teenagers have right to get their drivers permit at the age of 16 and they would drive when they get alcohol if they could get , the solutions is not avoiding alcohol. It's raising the driving age.
  Another reason why I recommand the drinking age should be lowered to 18 is that when teenagers know that alcohol is forbidden for them, they desire it even more. People use alcohol for numerous reasons; peer pressure, celebration, anxiety, sadness, boredom, rebellion and insomnia are just a few. to be seen more mature is also one of those alcohol usage reasond and it's pretty common. When people know that   only 21 and older people can be mature enought to drink the use alcohol as a tool of popularity. They drink alcohol to seem cooler than others.
