Islam -VS- Christianity

    The Middle East serves as a very important historical place where it served as the

beginning for several cultures and religions such as Christianity and Islam. As both

religions spread out from this region, they had a vast impact on the development of

history as we know it today. However Christianity and Islam have some similarities in

religious beliefs that differ between the two.

    Muslims like the Christians, believe in unseen spirits such as angels and demons.

Both Muslims and Christians regard that there is only one true God that sends a

messenger to deliver instructions and guidance to all mankind. Both believe that people

should follow the Ten Commandments and the teachings of the prophets. Additionally,

both believe that Mary the mother of Jesus, was a virgin; and Jesus was born of divine

conception. Furthermore both religions believe that Satan is evil; therefore, people

should not follow Satan. Moreover, both religions affirm their belief that the Anti-Christ

will appear on Earth before Judgment Day and will be killed by Jesus upon his return.

    Contrary to similarities, there are a few differences between the two religions:

Most Christians believe in the Trinity, meaning that God has 3 forms (Father, Son, and

the Holy Ghost) while Muslims emphatically reject this belief. Christians believe that

Jesus was the son of God however, Muslims believe that Jesus was only a prophet and

so was Mohammad, Moses, an Abraham.

Muslims believe that every human being has the right to be called the son of God only

because we were all created by God therefore, mortal men should not be worshiped.

Contrary to this belief, Christians believe that Jesus should be worshiped.

    Christians believe that all mankind are born sinners, bearing the burden of Adam and

Eve. Muslims do not believe this for 2 reasons:
