Constructing a large shopping center in my town.

Some people think that constructing a large shopping center in their neighborhood is useful and beneficial, while others believe that it is not. As far as I'm concerned, a shopping center is very helpful in both terms of my convenience and the development of our community. 

 To begin with, a shopping center makes it possible for me to enjoy a lot of convenience. I am aware that a shopping center is not always positive in that it takes a lot of time and effort to build, but it seems to me that the benefits of it eclipse this slight disadvantage. Let me give you an example to illustrate my point. A few years ago, a shopping center was newly built in my town, of which I have taken advantage. I do not need to travel long distances to purchase my necessities, thus I can save time and transportation cost. In addition, the shopping complex allows me for conveniece entertainment. There are many entertaining facilities such as clothing stores, the movie theater, and restaurants, which provide me with a diversity of pleasure. I also do not need to travel a lot to meet my friends, since we usually hang out there.  

Not only that, but a shopping center facilitates our community's economy. I am aware that constructing a shopping mall is not the only way of improving our society, but in my opinion, it is one of the most effective ways of doing so. To be more specific, the shopping center creates more jobs, and subsequently, the unemployment rates decrease. By increasing people's consumption, the economy is more prompted. If the shopping complex becomes larger, people from other towns also make a lot of visits. As a result, the town in which the shopping center is constructed is likely to develop into a metropolis. Thus, it can attract a number of foreign tourists, earning foreign money. This well illustrates that building a large shopping center can provide a city with many financial profits.
