Marketing in my opinion is the planning and preparing to get a product or service out to the public. The key is to advertise in many ways and promote to build customers of the new product or service. Marketing definition is "conducting research to understand customer’s needs in order to develop new policies and services to satisfy those needs at a price that represents good value" (Perreault, Cannon, & Mcarthy, 2011, p.5). The American Marketing Association definition of Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large. They also give the marketing management definition as the art and science of choosing target markets and getting, keeping, and growing customers through creating, delivering, and communicating superior customer value (Kotler & Keller, 2012).
When looking at marketing must look at the 4P’s to have a good plan put in place. The first P is the price for the product or service that it will satisfy the customers. Then the product or service what it is and why would it is good to buy. Then we have the place of putting the product or service to make it as convenient as possible for the customer. Last there is promotion this is to get the product or service knowledgeable to bring in customers. To promote is to get the product or service information out to be seen and learn about by using methods like billboards, media (TV), newspapers, and store papers. There are many more to look into if one felt the need to get the product or service seen in different ways and areas.
As said earlier it is about making the customer happy so should look into the 4 C’s. They are customer value, cost to the customer, and convenience for the buyer, and communication. If...
