While packing for my family vacation, I got a burst of enjoyment thinking of the fun times and the memories ahead that I would make with my grandmother and grandfather. As we started our journey to St. Louis, we stopped to see the arches. They looked like something I’ve never seen before. They were humungous as well as beautiful. We also went shopping; I bought a shirt, two hoodies and a pack of socks, because I forgot to pack socks. After we shopped we had dinner on the river, which was very nice and peaceful. After dinner, we went back at the hotel. The hotel had an indoor water park, which was awesome and so much fun. From St. Louis, we drove to Colorado.
In Colorado, I was amazed at the huge mountains everyone has talked about, they were very interesting and the drive was fascinating. While we were there, I went water rafting down the Colorado River; it was very exciting and an unforgettable experience. As we were rafting down the river, I fell out of the boat. The water wasn’t that cold, but it could’ve been warmer. After we finished rafting, we went to Big John’s Barbecue; it was the best barbecue I have ever tasted in my life. Later that night, my grandparent’s and I went to see a movie, which was nice. On our way back to the hotel, we stopped at Starbucks where I got a French vanilla bean with a shot of espresso, it was very yummy.
After our awesome visit to Colorado, we went to Oregon. It was very pretty, but very cold. It was dark and I felt like I was in the twilight zone. The sand in Oregon was dark, cold, and dreary. I went swimming at the beach there and it was freezing cold. After we were at the beach for a while, we decided it was too cold to swim and we all decided to leave and go do some shopping. The next morning, the doors to the car would not unlock, we had to
Wait for three days while the car was getting fixed. Oregon was not my favorite place. I felt like it was...
