Diseases: Giardial enteritis,Urethritis,vaginitis.
Treatments: Metronidazole (Flagyl). Metronidazole is the most commonly used antibiotic for giardia infection.
Symptoms: Watery, sometimes foul-smelling diarrhea that may alternate with soft, greasy stools

Vector: The most common way to become infected with giardia is after swallowing contaminated water.
Treatments: Metronidazole is given by mouth for 10 days. This is followed by Paromomycin or Diloxanide.
