About high school, role models and future plans
Cheerleading, Lassies, Choir, Theatre, A+, FEA & NHS - she is involved in all of them. President of the Student Council, senior Martha Allen proves it is possible to be involved in school activities, do sports, keep up with grades and maintain social life. “Usually after school I have one school activity, then I have few minutes to eat something, before next school activity. In the evening I do my homework and try to go to bed before 10,” she says “it’s important to get lots of sleep.” She also advices drinking milk for more energy. Her dream is to become a principal. She admits she worries about all these activities distracting her from achieving main goals, “but I have the rest of my life to work. This is for fun!” she explains. “It’s important to involve in school activities, because it makes high school so much more fun. And it teaches life lessons.” During 4 years of high school she became a role model for lots of Parkview students. “Everybody wants to be like her. For me she’s a motivation to do better in school” admits sophomore Bailey Adams. Martha is aware of her role in school community. “It’s why I do everything! And that’s very sweet. It’s hard to know making a mistake affects more than just myself, but it’s an honour - and it’s very important to me.” But even Martha Allen has bad days. She admits, that sometimes she feels overwhelmed. Her advice is to talk to family, go for a walk or have a break. “It’s important to know when you should take days off ” - for her it’s necessary to keep up with everything. “And get lots of

sleep” as he adds. And she talks bout everything with her parents. “My mother and father are my mentors, who guide me thru life.” She’s also inspired by Beyoncé “She’s my idol and role model, I love her!” She’s very sad to leave Parkview. “I love PHS and all it’s done for me, but I’m...
