Learning Team C consists of six members and the DISC assessment has assessed members as Dominance (D Style), Interactive (I style), Steadiness (S style), and Cautious (C style) behavioral styles.
Upon interviewing my mentor, I found out that his team consists of multi cultural and multi generational resources. His team is a software quality assurance team and the team makes sure that no defects are introduced into the production environment. His team delivers the highest quality solutions to their business partners using repeatable and transparent best practices providing a consolidated view of the software’s state of readiness for use in the production environment.
My mentor manages the department and overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources. He provides necessary definition, development and deployment of quality assurance strategy. My mentor directly supervises quality assurance team leads, and quality assurance analysts including the preparation and delivery of staff performance evaluations and career development activities, implements ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams, and provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan. He manages and responds to software quality assurance issues with related groups such as development, database, integration, and customer support. He is responsible and accountable of flagging the timing of interdepartmental deliverables and the quality of their output.
My mentor’s team includes from entry level to most experience in the health care industry. The team also consists of different behavioral styles, Baby Boomers generation, mid-level Generation X, and Generation Y.
