Never Smoke in Your Life!
Smoking is a dangerous, unhealthy, and horrible mistake. Smoking affects you and everyone around you through second hand smoke. Cigarettes cause over 25 diseases and 11 of which are cancer. Cigarettes cause many risks and no rewards. Nairaland.com says that every stick you smoke, you are eliminating ten minutes off your life. Why would you even want to do this to yourself?
Smoking causes many life threatening diseases such as smoker’s cough, emphysema, and lung cancer. Your pulse increases and your breathing becomes faster and more shallow. Plus your circulation begins to drop. Before you know it, you will have heart disease. Also, cigarettes contain many cancer-causing substances, which hit your lungs and will leave you with lung cancer. Smoking reduces your ability to do things that require endurance, such as sports. Smoking increases the risk of heart attack as well. In women it can cause early menopause, fertility problems, miscarriage, and other horrible pregnancy problems. In men, it increases the risk of penile cancer.
You are harming the people surrounding you, along with yourself. Second hand smoke is almost worse than you smoking yourself. If you spend eight hours a day with a smoker, your chances of developing lung cancer increase by 20 to 40 percent. A non-smoker breathing second-hand smoke is exposed to roughly 3, 700 different chemicals. These chemicals are poisonous, cancer - causing substances. If you are smoking in front of your children, chances are they will pick up the nasty habit.
Smoking not only effects people’s health, but their overall appearance as well. It gives your teeth a disgusting gray color and your breath reeks of bad, smoky breath which might cause people to go away from you. Smoke thickens the blood, making you have a higher risk of getting blood clots. Also, the color of your lips darkens and your skin starts to wrinkle.
The cost of smoking is getting outrageous. It hurts people in the long run...
