Which character in the play Romeo and Juliet achieves the most revenge?   At the beginning of the play characters are already starting to plot revenge, but throughout the play some characters succeed more revenge than others. Mercutio, Tybalt, and Romeo were the characters that had the most success with their revenge throughout the play.
Some characters in the play get revenge, but not to the fulleste”(III, I, 100) During this quote Mercutio states that because of the Capulet’s and Montague’s hate for each other he is going to die. He plots revenge by cursing both households “A plague on both of your houses’’ (III, I, 100) for getting him involved and murdered for their hatred of each other even though he is neither a Montague nor Capulet. Mercutios revenge in this play is less significant as other characters because he has to get injured to plot and get his revenge. Also he ends up dying.

The revenge that Tybalt is plotting was because of Montague’s showing up to his Capulet partly. He achieves his revenge because he murders a close friends of Romeos which tells the Montegues not to mess with the capulets or else bad things will happen. Tybalt would have had the most amount of revenge success but he too ends up dying.” Tybalt, that murderer, which way ran he?/ there lies that Tybalt”.(III,I,135) this quote explains where Tybalt went after he kill Mercutio but is now dead.
The most amount of revenge in this play was done by Romeo. Not only does he get the revenge that he plots, he lives on to be with is love Juliet. When Tybalt killed Mercutio, Romeo quickly gets his revenge on Tybalt by slaughtering him on the spot. “Tybalt, here slain whom Romeos hand did slay.
