ISSUES OF POLLUTION AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Pollution and environmental protection issues are the most important area of concerns to the human being as environment is essential to sustain economic growth and social well-being and also we need to implement some policies. There are many environmental researches going on which are identifying problems and developing solution in order to tackle the biggest environmental issues. This makes us understand the value of environment. Environmental and pollution issues consist of social and political issues which further deal with the climate changes, energy issues and soil contamination.
Firstly, Global warming and climate change are an increase in average global temperatures. Natural events and human activities are believed to be contributing to an increase in average global temperatures. This is caused primarily by increases in “greenhouse” gases such as Carbon Dioxide (CO2). Energy from the sun regulates the weather and climate of the earth. This energy in turn is driven back to the space. Some gases in the atmosphere absorb this energy and increase the temperature of the earth and hence are called green house gases. If the greenhouse effect becomes stronger, then more heat gets trapped than needed, and the Earth might become less habitable for humans, plants and animals. Human activities have become a major source of environmental change, the most and urgent are climate consequences of increasing accumulation of greenhouse gases due to technical and mechanical development. Most scientists believe that the warming of the climate may lead to changes in weather patterns such as hurricane and drought. For example, Hurricane Mitch killed nearly 20,000 people in America, and more than 4,000 people died during flooding in China. Bangladesh and Venezuela suffered some of its worst floods ever the following year. Europe was hit with record floods in 2002, and then a...
