Theme- supernatural is Fantasy
It might be easier to believe in the supernatural when it seems like the only explanation, but deep down lies the reality. When there is no real explanation for something we always jump to the conclusion of a supernatural occurrence because people want to believe in fantasy, and not natural things. The novel The Hound of the Baskervilles is one of Sherlock Holmes most famous mysteries, and a perfect example of supernatural verse natural. It is about a supernatural hound that haunts the Baskerville family. And is interpreted differently according to each person’s beliefs. It seems like most believe the supernatural explanation and fewer believe the natural explanation.
There are so many examples of supernatural feelings in the novel, like for example the moor is described to be supernatural like. “There was a thin, crisp, continuous
patter from somewhere in the heart of that crawling bank. The cloud was
within fifty yards of where we lay, and we glared at it, all three, uncertain
what horror was about to break from the heart of it.”, (Doyle)

he describes the moor as having a heart which makes you interpret that the moor is alive and you can feel its heart beating. The moor is believed to be more natural then supernatural. Which goes along with the theme, as all of these are actually the fantasy’s that others have.

Another example of supernatural fantasy is
