The novel “the white tiger” is written by Aravind Adiga who is an Indian writer and journalist. Aravind Adiga was born on 23 October 1974 in Chennai to Usha Adiga and Madhava Adiga and grew up in Mangalore which is in south India. He was good at his studies and He secured first rank in the state in sslc. In Sydney he studied at James ruse agriculture high school and he studied English literature at Columbia University in New York where he was graduated as salutatorian in 1997. He also studied at Magdalen University. He began his career as a financial journalist at financial times. He covered the stock market and investments. He subsequently hired by times. He was a former correspondent for time magazine. During his free time period he wrote his first novel “the white tiger” in 2008 and for this he won 2008 the man booker prize. The other works of Aravind Adiga are “between the assassinations” which was released in India in 2008 and in us and UK it was released in mid of 2009. The latest book which he has written is the last man in tower. He also wrote short stories such as “the sultans battery “, “smack”, “last Christmas in Bandra”, “the elephant”.

The story is mainly based on the modern Indian days. The story is mainly based on a person named Balaram who is a son of a rickshaw puller becomes a successful entrepreneur in Bangalore. The story is narrated like a whimsical letter. The novel's protagonist is Balaram. The story is a letter written by Balaram in seven consecutive nights addressed to Mr. Wen Jiabo who is Chinese premier. In this novel Balaram starts the letter explaining that he is an entrepreneur in Bangalore and explains his work efficiency and the type of entrepreneurship in India where it is not so developed in China and also his life in laxmigarh (the rural village in darkness at Balaram point of view) of Bihar.
