It is true that the social problems involving teenagers have become more common in many countries. Many people believe that this is due to modern lifestyles because parents are away at work and unable to supervise their children.However, while i accept that busy working parents play a major role in causing this problem, i would also argue that there are other factors which are equally responsible for this phenomenon.
On the one hand, our busy lifestyle is primarily responsible for many social issues among teenagers. Many parents choose to work in many hours in order to be able to meet the demand of modern life, give a better standard of life to their children or give richness to their social status. Besides, they allow children towards modern equipments such as mobile, Internet or TV-due to their busy schedules-which lead into poor care of parents on children's behavior. Also, they think that educating teenagers is school responsibility, as a result, parents tend to spend less time to keep an eye on their young children. In some cases children`s guardian have no idea how there children spend their time and who they chatting to.For example, many teenagers might drop out of school without knowledge of their parents.
On the other hand, i also believe that there are two principal factors are contributing to this proplem. Fristly,friends have become the major influence on our children `s behaviour because they spend most of the time with them. the teenagers are not mature enough to understand that what’s good, what’s bad, so they are very susceptible to the bad habits from bad company. Secondly, the mass media plays an extremely serious role by sending wrong messages to teenegers` mind . They are showing violence and excessive alchole drinking which may create distorted lifestyle and some evils.
In conclusion, while there are grounds to argue that parents are mainly responsible for their children`s social issues , i would also say that mass media and friends are...
